Offline-first mobile for 1,200 field agents

How we synced a national field team across low-connectivity India with WatermelonDB and a CRDT-driven conflict resolver.

Offline-first mobile for 1,200 field agents cover

1,200 field agents across rural India, working in basements, trains, and villages with patchy 3G. Their jobs depend on the app, the app depends on data, and the data lives on a server they can't always reach.

We built an offline-first sync engine with WatermelonDB on the client, a CRDT-shaped conflict resolver, and a server-side queue that reconciles deterministically. This is the architecture we now ship by default for any mobile engagement where connectivity is variable.
